A New Way to Move From Spelling to Sound

WordChop Reading places pronunciation cues directly on the original spelling. Instead of asking a learner to translate a word into a separate code first, it makes the important clues visible where the learner already looks: on the letters themselves.
The Core Idea
See the mark. Hear the sound. Read the word. Long and short vowels, schwa, silent letters, and letter teams become visual prompts instead of rules a learner has to recall without help.
Look Up One Word
Enter an English word to open a reading card. The card combines the marked spelling, syllable structure, meaning, and audio in one place. Tap the speaker beside a sound to hear that part, or tap the main speaker to hear the complete word.
This makes the card useful for independent practice: a learner can see why a vowel is long or short, notice which letters work together, and immediately check the sound.
Mark a Whole Passage
Reading does not happen one isolated word at a time. Paste a sentence, paragraph, story, or worksheet into the passage marker and WordChop Reading adds pronunciation cues while preserving the text's sentences, punctuation, and line breaks.
The result bridges the gap between learning a rule and applying it in connected text. Learners can practice from material they are already reading instead of switching to a separate list of examples.
